## Information We Collect

- Contact information (when you reach out to us)
- Quiz answers and email address (when you complete a personalized recommendation quiz)

### Information Collected Automatically
- Usage data via Google Analytics 4
- Device and browser information
- When you subscribe to our newsletter, we also record the IP address you sign up from and your browser's User-Agent string (device type, browser, and operating system). We process these under legitimate interest to prevent spam and abuse and to understand our audience in aggregate.

## How We Use Your Information

- Send newsletter updates (if you subscribed)
- Deliver personalized recommendations (if you complete a quiz)
- Improve our website and content
- Analyze site usage and trends

## Newsletter Data Retention

- **Email address**: kept while your subscription is active to deliver updates. When you unsubscribe, we keep only your email address on a suppression list and delete all other personal data (including the IP address and User-Agent associated with your signup and unsubscribe records).
- **IP address**: stored in full for 30 days to prevent spam and abuse, then truncated (last octet removed for IPv4) or pseudonymised (hashed for IPv6), and deleted after 90 days.
- **User-Agent / device / browser / OS**: kept for 90 days for aggregate analytics, then deleted.
- **Signup and verification event records** follow the same 30/90-day schedule above.
- **Unconfirmed subscriptions**: deleted automatically after 30 days if you do not confirm your email.
- We do **not** collect your phone number, age, or postal address.

## Quiz & Recommendation Data Retention

When you complete a personalized recommendation quiz, we collect your email address and quiz answers under your consent to deliver your recommendation.

- **Quiz submissions** (email address + answers) are deleted after **24 months**.
- **Raw webhook logs** are retained for no more than **7 days**.
- **Technical metadata** (if any) is deleted after **30 days**.
- If you **unsubscribe**, your quiz data is purged alongside your newsletter data.

## Cookies & Tracking

We use cookies for:
- Analytics (Google Analytics 4)
- Essential site functionality

You can disable cookies in your browser settings.

## Third-Party Services

We use:
- **Google Analytics 4** for website analytics
- **AWS SES** for email delivery

## Your Rights

- Unsubscribe from our newsletter at any time
- Request deletion of your data
